Scholarship Application 

Scholarship Requirements

1. Applications will be mailed to: The Reverend Stephen Spicer, 304 E. Stockbridge, Eagle Lake, Texas 77434, and they must be received by April 9, 2018.

2. An interview may be for select candidates.

3. This scholarship is available to a graduating senior in the greater Eagle Lake area who is enrolled/ing in a technical/vocational program as a full-time student of 10 credits hours or more per semester. These programs are two years or less; such as welding, automotive tech, radiology tech, firefighter academy, and many others. We do not accept applicants for nursing programs.

4. Please list, on a separate sheet of paper, 3 references; include their name, address, phone, email, and how you know them.

5. Please write a brief (2 to 3 paragraph) statement, in your own words, as to why you should be the recipient of this Scholarship. Ideally, your references should not be family members.

6. Considerations for the scholarships include; financial need, religious participation /activity, and special circumstances.

7. The award of this scholarship is $2,500 and must be used in the first academic year (Typically two semesters)

8. You must start classes within 9 months of being awarded the scholarship at the awards banquet. All monies will be paid to the school after verification of enrollment and acceptance into the named technical/vocational program. All monies must be repaid if you do not complete one academic year of the program.​
